This page explains what AEO Watch collects when you use the site, request a free AI-visibility snapshot, or create an account — and how we use it. We keep it short and plain; it isn't legal advice, and we may update it as the product evolves.
What we collect
If you request a snapshot, we collect what you enter in the form: your email address and website, and optionally your industry and role. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email and login, and — if you subscribe — our payment provider (Stripe) handles billing; we never see or store your full card details. Inside the app we store the brands, competitors and prompts you choose to track. We also collect basic usage and device data via analytics (below).
How we use it
To run the product, send you the snapshot or account emails you'd expect, provide support, improve AEO Watch, and measure how well our marketing works. That's it.
Analytics & advertising
We use PostHog (product analytics), Google Analytics, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how people find and use AEO Watch and to measure our advertising. These set cookies and may share limited event data (such as that a visit or sign-up happened) with those providers. We do not sell your personal information; we share it only with the service providers that help us operate (authentication, payments, email, analytics), who process it on our behalf.
Retention & your choices
We keep your information for as long as you have an account or an active request, and for a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to delete it. You can ask to access or delete your data at any time — just email us. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
